Professor Rem uses magic to show that

“Reading is FUNdamental”.

In his case, the emphasis is on fun with:

  • Comedy

  • Audience participation

  • Strange happenings

The show stresses that the need to read is all around us,  in all parts of life :

  • Signs

  • Books

  • Papers

  • Recipes, etc…

This is the skill that enables you to survive      and to thrive!

He will even read your mind, and reveal     the secret of magic  (reading, of course).

Other skills tied in with the show include:

  • Spelling

  • Organizing Ideas

  • Creative Thinking

  • Using the Library

,Information Needed:

What grade levels are involved?  What kind of reading programs do you have in place?  Are you having any special school-wide or grade-wide programs that can be tied into the show?  Example:

  • Black History Month

  • Presidents Day

  • Women in History

Vote: for the Greatest Kid in the World

Watch: as choices make changes

You will leave happier about yourself and your possibilities. It’s a show that can make a difference.

Because time and space can be compressed in a magic show, practical calls-to-action can be illustrated in a dramatic fashion.  The message is brought home and it sticks.  This is a fun-filled show with an important theme.
